JANUARY-MARCH

Early jan ‘24 i’d say everything was going smoothly, the weather was nicely cold, i recently posted the previous nuu year stuff, robokart was going at a semi-moderate pace though i was still procrastinating around that time, many things were going pretty nice… until the 10th

I still sorta remember that day, i was a bit tired and i was preparing to get muh house… then some asshole spilled something on my computer and modem fucking up the trackpad and whatnot. for a while i was pretty pissed, and then it turned into straight sadness for a moment, and then i realized the keys were still usable so i quickly backed up a lot of my stuff onto my flash drive, the modem got replaced and the computer still worked for a short while until the 24th when it finally blue screened, for a short while i had to use my phone to draw 4 four months. Other than that, that was most i remember from january

On the 2nd of february i finally got a new pc (which also started my “artistically handicapped” saga). first few things i did was get most of my programs back and made 2 tracks for that project i’m not allowed to disclose of BUUUT quick update on that. The project has been on indefinite hiatus since a lot of us have been busy with our own stuff. 

Unnecessary unimportant bullshit aside the biggest highlight of the month was when twomad fucking died, and upon finding that out me, arc_buckle, crockett and crowned were just on call laughing our asses off at xitter’s reaction to his death to the point where i was losing my shit over one of the tweets, Sometime around mid-february While thinking of games to play with i jokingly suggested we play overwatch 2 in honor of twomad and then we somehow ended up frequently playing overwatch for a while, which was very fun until the later season came out and i couldn’t open it without it freezing on the main menu… also it might’ve awoken a hidden beast within me

somewhere in-between the point of my artistic crippling and getting my new pc i was suddenly invited to the fucking development gc for NINECRAB, safe to say i pissed myself silly because i was an avid 9crab fan and had ministerhomer followed on every account and favorited every single bit of his artwork (the mod died a few months later)

Most of feb and march was just me just dicking around in VCs and drawing on mobile, and along the way i’ve done a lot of cool concept shit for my comic i want to do in the future, i’ve gotten some of the premise and character designs down the only thing i’m still figuring out how tf i’m going to make it work story and structure and whatnot. 

Early march was a very rough start, especially when i got hit with the death of akira toriyama. The dude was one of my biggest influence of all time artistically aside from max g and egoraptor, and reading about it really devastated me, especially when i just finished binging OG dragon ball the prior month, one thing i do remember is nearly tearing up in vc wondering how they would finish super, and i’m usually not one to get too emotional over deaths and whatnot, but in return it gave us the most graceful mass memorials i’ve ever seen in 2024. Rip tori man

I’m not sure how to segway after that but most of what i can remember from mid-march most of my time was spent doodling on my phone and coming up with concept shit, and also watching every tmnt movie at the time with partyboy, archie and crockett which had one of the best bits of that month but unfortunately it wasn’t recorded... OH and i also recorded an episode of briar bumz with dingo and crockett which was fun even if it might end up not releasing and will look cringy a few years ahead of time

Late-march was when crockett reminded me that i had a part in the transformers collab i gotta do so i went ahead and wrote the script for it, rest is history for TGER, and i also started binge watching one punch man which was a very good show, might consider doing mob psycho later

APRIL-JUNE

In-between watching opm i also tried rewatching we bare bears but thaaaat didn’t last very much, but i did end up watching the clerks movie with crock and PB which was a fun experience even with the many “technical difficulties” we had along the way, and it did give me and crockett the idea to do a clerks parody for pico day, which unfortunately didn’t get made, my reasoning is that i’m not that intelligent to come up with dialogue with the same level of geniusness as the original clerks

The 16th was a big day for early-2024 because i finally got an hdmi adapter for my drawing tablet which was a breath of fresh air after months of drawing on my phone, and it lead to the creation of BACK BABY.sai2

Sometime in the middle i went to an arcade for my little sister’s birthday and in the process i found a mvc2 arcade machine, and that definitely was fun, i even got to drive a go kart too... btw you're never gonna guess who i saw that day. Oh and i started watching ok ko rather than going through my normal route of parappa and scaredy squirrel, crockett and smoothe or pb maybe? Joined in for a while and then it just suddenly stopped since i still had to work on TGER

On april 19th something tragic happened that day, newgrounder sageisreal got into a car crash with a family of 4 while heavily intoxicated, but unfortunately for sage the family survived, as a tribute me, smoothe, crowned and crockett all made animations for 420 to honor sage’s memory (THEY’RE NOT ACTUALLY DEAD, GOTTA BE CAREFUL BECAUSE LAST TIME I DID A BIT MY ART PIECE GOT TAKEN DOWN)

May 8th was when i finally went to the dmv to get my ID, which was very tedious since i had to wait hours to get it, and while waiting for it it gave me an idea for a comic, i was considering it being an acrilus story but it wouldn’t fit any antics they would go on so it would definitely be for a different character

Later on during that month a lot of big conflict shit that i’d rather not talk about happened within my current FG which slowly bummed me out for the following 2 months, it felt like i was slowly losing my ability to speak to people combined with the fact that i was trying to get TGER done so i wasn’t able to properly contribute to any VCs 

Though on the bright during june i ended up going to see garfield for my 19th and HOLY FUCK none of you could ever expect to see someone like fucking garfield in person, i still can’t believe that happened till this day

About two days after, i’ve gotten contacted by an old friend group i had 0 contact with and because i had nothing to do at that moment i decided to have one last call with them, which was definitely fun for that point in time, other than that another june highlight was when i turned a call argument into a 17bucks song

JULY-SEPTEMBER

1st day of july one thing i did while procrastinating on TGER i decided to make an archive of max g’s pony art because crockett showed me some doodles of the horses that i’ve never seen, and i really adore pony.mov, as edgy it could get i still think it’s still funny and a lot of the humor and animation still holds up til this day

as of 12/16 there’s currently 143 files within my secret vaush horse folder, if i’m very sure if i’ve archived enough i might consider releasing the folder

i also completed TGER on the day of the deadline which was a massive relief, idk why but when i want to animate i get easily distracted and sometimes i just end up drawing one frame and leave flash open which is an extreme fucking issue i have on my end, inbetween that and the release of the tf collab i had the house to myself and considering i just got gifted l4d2 i decided to record a video of me, dingo, smoothe and sage playing the game, i still haven’t touch the vegas file containing it but i will try to get it out on bitview one day

Artfight was also a thing that happened that month and it was very fun to do it since i got an opportunity to draw a frequently as i could and write and redo some of my characters designs and bios, 

Other than getting hacked by a cybertronian to promote the collab and doing the halftones for mahdi’s comic not much happened mid-late july, constantly switching out of server to server and having to hear people mope about each other coupled with the fact that i lack the ability to be assertive and did nothing was really fucking degrading to my psyche, and on the 12th i remember looking back at my past internet antics and the current things of the world i slowly gained a nihilistic output on life and human beings as a whole and made a notepad file ranting about how people just suck, but thank god for mahdi also being up around the same time because watching kickassia and talking about his mod really lightened my mood a bit and made me come to terms that human being aren’t all terrible

Late-july the tf collab got done, i got done half-toning mahdi’s comic and i got into mvc2 which was very fun and i liked playing against dingo and smoothe and improving with every rematch, those were cool but other than that i reached a breaking point and cut off nearly all contact with my friends, but due to sheer coincidence or divine intervention a day later the friend group got back together and everything became cool and swag yeaaaah i love my frenz :))))

There’s really only 2 notable things that happened on august. For the 1st half me and crockett finally made a document for the bayverse parodies and wrote a bunch of shit in it, idk why but writing transformers shit is really fun to do, especially when it comes to reimagining 4-5, a lot of the stories and in-universe stuff are so fucking cool that i really can’t express it in words

2nd half was that a death in the family happened, i don’t like getting into personal real world stuff so i’m just gonna leave it right there

September was a very slow month, i started work on the meowth animation, got some of the placeholder lines and roughs done but the big problem with it was the fact that i didn’t have half the script finished the moment i started working on it, so the rest of the month was just me looking back at the script, doing nothing with it and play mvc2

i ended up pissing off a bunch of dream fans, but it got really exhausting when they kept regurgitating the same broken narrative because i made fun of their creepy idol, and also i made a shitty dr manhattan squidward edit which got fucking yoloswagstudios out of all people to like it

OCTOBER-DECEMBER

Can’t remember what happened in october other than maybe some work on meowth and one of crockett’s toons? I also started reading watchmen which is very fucking cool even when i haven’t finished it yet, and it gave me some inspiration for my comic, i wanna find the people who drew and wrote the comic and give them the biggest sloppy toppy of the century… especially to whoever came up with tales of the black freighter

Somewhere in mid october while in a vc with taod and dingo they gave me the idea to make a very special gift for crockett’s birthday (aside from the one drawing i did) and throughout the weeks i’ve worked day and night making the perfect slideshow for good ol’ deke, and i even had to almost break dingo’s ankle because he kept fucking up the PERFECT narration for the beginning animation of the slideshow GOD DAMMIT DINGO, when the day arrived i showed it to crockett and they were laughing hysterically throughout her entire reaction… i showed her the biggest b-day gift i could make to anyone and they laughed at it… i’ll get that bastard someday.. 

we also played jackbox and it lead the the most funniest work of deception i’ve ever done in my entire life

Did you know the erection happened on november 5th? That’s unimportant to the recap, but what WAS IMPORTANT is on the 12th i started work on one of two scripts talking about creepypastas, one thing i wanna do with my videos is try to do shit differently than other youtubers with the power of animation and also show off my raw autistic passion for the things i like because i love talking about obscure things, obscure facts and old things i hold dear to, and with a lot of the the info i know a lot of the stuff might make the video fun, while on the topic of videomaking i saw a video talking about mike matei’s loco bandito that featured a screenshot from metal doom, but because the youtuber came off as way too snarky and obnoxious i decided to take it upon myself to find info for a potential video on the loco bandito in an attempt to do a better job than said youtuber… then the text chat i had the info on got fucking deleted later on which is entirely on me for not backing them up

Mid-november me and crockett decided to read the entirety of the skybound run of transformers and void rivals… i fucking love the energon universe no other words or further elaboration can describe my love for them and i’m very hyped to see devastator vs bruticus in the next issue. stuff like that and watchmen made me appreciate comics a bit more and i’ve started opting towards them rather than movies now even when i also don’t got time to engage with those too

With good things comes terrible shit because in-between that and working on crockett’s next project I FUCKING LOST NO NOSTALGIA CRITIC NOVEMBER TO MAGICMUSH AND I’VE HATED THAT FUCKER EVER SINCE FUCK MAGICMUSH I HOPE HIS CHANNEL GETS TAKEN DOWN… but yeah i’ve rearranged the audio, redid the ending portion, redone my lines for it and helped do new animatics for it which was fun for a while

 During the end portion of nov to the end of december i’ve been kinda dealing with some internal shit i refuse to talk about so a lot of animation progress has been halted and a lot of the month was very lackluster, i’ve slowly began to feel a bit apologetic, i’ve mostly been drawing, script writing, and playing bubble shooter hd (WHICH I’M VERY FUCKING CRACKED AT BTW). i might try to get into the swing of things when smoothe lends me the parts i have to do for their animation and hopefully everything goes to plan

Other than secret santa and watching the gotg trilogy to get a better understanding of the guardians, another thing i did that deserves to be a highlight was the grinch bit i did again with crockett, coming up with the rhymes and shit was the funniest thing to write and look back on, though the night grinch and max stole christmas went well as you’d expect it to

oh right and our brainrot collab submission got frontpaged, still surprised that happened

ADDENDUM

2024 was semi-enjoyable but not that good in some aspects imo, it kinda reminded me of my 2021 experience a bit which really sucks, with the themes of a lot of bad shit and good shit happening sometime after riddled within the news post it really harps back to one of my current mindsets. Always be optimistic, no matter how bad your life can get, no matter how over it will, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel and i want everyone to know that not everything will be that bad
